xkcd is a Web site of comic stories, cartoons (or illustrations) and other pieces of art. Most of these are in black and white, with the occasional red, and have a title text which is presented in this book as typeset to the side of a panel.

The sequence titles are not printed in this book, but are taken from the original pieces. For some things printed in this book, alterations and additions have been made to accommodate the printed form.
