Synopsis

Hugh goes off to war, but the letters to Carol stop about the time that her mum is killed in an air raid. She gets a job in interior decorating and buries herself in her work. Five years pass and Carol makes a success of her career. Then she is asked to look after a young couple about to be married. Carol can scarcely believe her eyes when she sees that the fiancé is Hugh.
