Synopsis

Ninth-grade Maggie enters high school, just as her elder brothers did at the same age once they finished home schooling. She is troubled by difficulties adjusting and finding friends; by the fact that her mother left home once she finished teaching Maggie 8th grade; and by the fact that she is haunted by the silent ghost of a sad-looking 19th-century woman.
