Synopsis

Kerry runs away from an oppressive stepmother, but has difficulty finding a job in London with no skills. She meets a girl at a job agency who agrees to let her share her flat if Kerry will do the cooking and cleaning. Eventually, Fran invites Kerry to join her one night at a party. Kerry learns that Fran goes to chemmy parties and attaches herself to winning gamblers to get money. Kerry also finds out that her boyfriend from back home has come to London and is the driver for an unsavory character she meets at the party.
