Synopsis

Penny feels trapped in her boarding school and after her mother's yearly birthday visit, she decides to sneak out. The train ticket to the city takes most of her money and with no experience or skills, she is forced to accept work at a nightclub in the slums. She is soon stunned to learn that her mother is the owner of the club and half a dozen like it. The club manager's assistant starts taking an interest in her so she strives to keep her identity secret while working at the club and going out with him.
