Synopsis
In the courtroom, Alma recalls how she came to be standing on trial for a crime she did not commit. A short time after starting a job as a secretary, her new boss had seduced her with declarations of love. He told her he wanted to keep their engagement a secret, but bought her a ring as a commitment to her. In reality, he was using the ring to frame her for money he would steal from the company safe. Her only hope of avoiding a guilty verdict was the love of a man she had lied to when she started dating her boss.
