Synopsis

Cathy returns after being away for three years and meets her childhood friend at the rental car company. He had once proposed to her, but now he is a husband and father. Realizing everything had changed, she decides to leave. When he drives off after dropping her off at the train station she starts hitch-hiking to Calais, glad that he doesn't know the truth. She had used her savings to return in grand style and he thinks she is a model. Instead she has been moving from job to job, living in a shabby little room.
