Synopsis

Jess rapidly rises from newspaper reporter to editor, thanks in large part to the influence of his fiancée, the daughter of the owner of the paper. She uses her influence to get him a six-month assignment in Japan for a story on the life and customs of the Japanese. But when he arrives, he soon falls in love with a Japanese girl.
