Synopsis

When Lynn was very young, there was talk of her one day marrying Reginald so that her father's "Knoll Farm" could be joined with Reginald's family estate. When Lynn's mother lays dying, she makes Raymond promise to send their only child to college and make her a lady. When she returns, she gets engaged to Reginald but her heart belongs to her childhood friend, Nick, who now is the administrator at Knoll Farm since Lynn's father had lost the use of his legs. Although Nick and Lynn love each other, they both think the other is in love with someone else.
