Synopsis
Orphaned, Shankar Dev is raised by his grandmother. Later in life, he finally gives in to his calling and embarks on a pilgrimage. Returning home, he preaches to his people. As his followers grow in number, he is twice forced to flee when jealous priests turn the rulers against him. He finally settles in Barpeta.
