Notes

No price on the cover, but the cover does contain a circle indicating that is where the price would be entered ("Precio De Venta"), most likely making this not a giveaway.

Translated to English, the title is "The Awakening".

One of a series of six "cartoon books" created by the U.S. Information Agency as a part of a propaganda effort towards the countries of Latin America to promote anti-Communist and anti-Fidel Castro Cuba feelings.

Part of a larger effort called Operation: Mongoose, these comics were a part of a broad propaganda campaign in the region, per: Memorandum From the United States Information Agency Operations Officer for Operation Mongoose (Wilson) to the Chief of Operations, Operation Mongoose (Lansdale), Washington, D.C., July 20, 1962 (from the Kennedy Library, National Security Files, Meetings and Memoranda Series, Special Group (Augmented), Operation Mongoose, 7/62. Top Secret, now Declassified), (Retrieved 31 May 2016, from the Office of the Historian on the Department of State web site: https://history.state.gov/historicaldocuments/frus1961-63v10/d356).

The National Archives and Records Administration's master file copy found in the series, "Master File Copies of Pamphlets and Leaflets," Record Group 306: Records of the U.S. Information Agency, entry # A1 53, National Archives Identifier Number 1136952, container #3. This copy has handwritten information indicating that this was a July 1967 printing, and that 87,000 copies were made for distribution.

No publisher or date printed on the comic itself (per the 1967 edition).
