An illustration depicts a wall of skulls with this verse: They went to view the Catacombs, and the place being dull and dark, Tom (as his usual custom was) resolved to have a lark. So he flipp'd into a corner, and as the company came on, He held a skull in Jerry's face, and gave a most tremendous groan. Jerry started back amazed, and roared in a fright, And all the ladies shrieked in horror at the dreaded sight; Tom laugh'd at his adventure, to think how he had Jerry gull'd, And fear's a living sportsman by a dead Dandy's skull.
