Synopsis

When the time comes for Vic to do his National Service, Deirdre promises to wait for him. Even when she stops receiving letter from him, she initially rejects Paul's attentions but eventually lets herself be trapped into loving him. She writes Vic to tell him she is in love with someone else, but is stunned to learn that she had bound herself to a man who cared nothing for her.
