The final issue of a series that began in 1949 as Superboy (9 years before the introduction of the Legion in Adventure Comics #247), changed its title to Superboy & the Legion of Super-Heroes with issue #231 (September 1977), to Legion of Super-Heroes with issue #259 (January 1980) and finally became Tales of the Legion of Super-Heroes with issue #314 (August 1984).
