Synopsis

Sleet and her mother knock Sam unconscious and throw him off an overpass, where, unbeknownst to them, he lands in a dump truck full of sand. Sam manages to crawl into a basement where he is found and taken to the hospital by some of the Crimestoppers. Sleet and her mother are arrested and placed in adjacent cells. Sleet's mother grabs Sleet by her hair and slams her head repeatedly against the bars. An unconscious Sleet is taken to the hospital. When she regains consciousness, she escapes and hides by working as a dishwasher and cook.
