Complete interior contents are known to be from Superman (DC, 1939 series) #31 (November-December 1944) (itself on sale August 26, 1944). This comic needs to be indexed.
The cover states "Sept." and "Copyright 1944 by Detective Comics, Inc." It was submitted for trademark protection in August 1944 and the trademark was granted on February 6, 1945.
