Synopsis

Lila accidentally pushes her drunken boyfriend Marty in front of a subway train and he is killed. She changes her name and appearance and flees to another town. Lila falls in love with Jed, but is paranoid about her secret past. Jed, realising something is wrong, investigates. He tells Lila that the death of Marty was deemed self-defense, so she’s in the clear. They will wed.
