Synopsis

Linda is recreation director at a “settlement house” for underprivileged children. Linda postpones her marriage to writer Bob because her job requires her full devotion. Linda hires Betty as her assistant but begins to suspect Betty is trying to steal Bob away. Betty arranges to have Linda promoted to an office job, which disappoints the children, especially Tommy. Linda resigns but returns when Tommy locks himself in a room with a pistol, angry at Betty's cruel treatment of him. Linda defuses the situation and Betty reveals her true, nasty nature. Linda gets her job and boyfriend back.
