Synopsis

In Florida, Marlo is swept off her feet by Lance, the enforcer for gambling ship proprietor Winters. Infatuated with him, Marlo marries Lance after they flee a police raid, but later leaves when he is possessive and physically abusive to her. She moves to New York and becomes a model, but Lance finds her and beats her up. Marlo calls the police and Lance is arrested.
