Synopsis

High school student Maureen has an affair with Duncan, the “school engineer,” aged “about forty-five.” She breaks off their relationship when she discovers Duncan is married, and becomes engaged to Allan. Duncan refuses to give her up, and she shoots him to death. She gets a suspended sentence and will marry Allan after all.
