Pending further investigation and confirmation: although the interior in large part matches the contents of King Comics (David McKay, 1936 series) #1 (April 1936), there are significant differences.

This issue may have been prepared as a mockup by the publisher for in-house use, and/or for approval from KFS, prior to beginning publication of the ongoing King Comics series. The series primarily featured color reprints of King Features Syndicate newspaper strip Sundays, while the publisher's earliest years of Feature Book (David McKay, 1936 series) reprinted daily strips from KFS (amid others) in black and white.
