No cover date appears on cover or in indicia. Publication date is derived from the last three digits of the cover code (012 = December, 1980). On sale date (month and year) is derived from the issue code appearing in the bottom tier of page one (8010 = October, 1980).
In addition to its scarcity, this issue also "rare" for its occasion of coordinated "themed content", quite unusual for 1980s Western Publishing. While an all-reprint issue, the three comic story reprints herein are curated in such a way to create a "fishing and lakeside" themed issue.
