Synopsis

Stenographer Lily falls in love with co-worker Tod, but her stern father Fred insists that Lily spend all of her free time caring for her invalid mother. Lily’s mother advises her to elope with Tod and they do, but her father interrupts the ceremony. Fred hits Tod and Lily throws a paperweight at her father, injuring him. When Fred wakes up, his wife is there and she castigates him for ruining Lily’s life. Fred says “that blow on my head knocked some sense into it” and gives Tod and Lily his blessing. They are married right away.
