Synopsis

Sue lives in the slums with her bitter mother, alcoholic father, and rebellious younger brother. She falls in love with Terry and they plan a better life together. But Sue reneges on a promise to take Bobby on a picnic and he runs away. The police catch him and rebuke Sue and her mother. They promise to change their ways and Terry will help.
