Popeye

#19

1960 · 6d [0-0-6 GBP] · 28 pages

Synopsis

After having been away Popeye returns home and decides to surprise Pappy and Swee'Pea by entering through the kitchen door. He's unpleasantly surprised to find a mountain of dirty dishes, but Pappy informs him that he, Popeye, neglected to pay the water bill before he left. No housekeeping has been done either, much to his disgust. Popeye soon has the house clean, everything in oder, but then learns there's a closet full of bills that haven't been paid. He checks the wall safe and discovers his savings, $5,000, is gone. And then they admit it: they used the money to buy a parrot named Salty.
