The on-sale date is the publication date reported in the U. S. Copyright Office filing. Print run of 5,000. This information is from one of the issue artists, Brian Bram, who found the printer ("a large offset printer in the suburbs east of Cleveland") and did the initial press checks. (Side note: the original printer Pekar contacted refused to print the comic because of the sexual nature of the piece "Love Story.")
