Synopsis
Jean comes from Scotland to be with her father in Japan, where he owns most of the shares in the 'Sakosa Herald', a newspaper printed in English. On the day after her arrival, she sees Paul rescue a girl trapped in the ruins following an earthquake. Jean discovers that Paul is the vigorous editor of the 'Sakosa Herald' and soon falls in love with him. Paul helps the Japanese girl sell her blind father's paintings to pay their rent, but is sworn to secrecy by her. When rumors start circulating that he and Pinko are robbing her father's paintings, Jean struggles to keep her faith in Paul.
