Synopsis

Nerina had been a film star for the past ten years, since starting as a child star. While filming an epic in Rome, an electricians' strike shuts down production. For Nerina, this is the last straw and she tells her agent she wants to quit. She takes the first train to anywhere and ultimately takes a overnight boat to Sicily where she meets Manuel. She falls in love with him, but he says he could never have her respect. She learns that Manuel is an ex-bullfighter from Spain who was gored and lost his nerve.
