Synopsis

A Frenchman tells Julie that legend has it that an ancestor of his won Mansfield Hall in a card game from the owner before having to flee the country and that written proof is buried there. King Charles II had also been present at the game and when Phillippe finds the document he's looking for, he also discovers the king had made his ancestor a duke and granted him the hereditary right to kiss any girl in the kingdom. Phillippe, the new 'Kissing Duke', becomes famous and has to kiss his way through crowds of girls, but he never kisses Julie.
