Synopsis

In the year 2052, humans hide in well protected compounds from zombies that roam the earth looking for human flesh. When an anomaly, a thinking zombie, hijacks a train containing the power core for the settlement of Acropolis, the humans have to turn to the only source of help they can, another sentient zombie that secretly helps watch over them. They take young Zoe out to find Dirge and solicit his help as the zombie saved her life when she was a little girl. Dirge agrees to track down the rogue but has a few conditions of his own.
