Synopsis

Dorothy and Billina escape from the Wheelers by climbing some rocks where they find a clockwork man named Tik-Tok. He tells them that they are in the land of Ev and about its sad history. The wicked king of Ev sold his family to the Nome King for an eternal life, but soon threw himself into the ocean in remorse. He also informs them that Oz is across the desert from Ev and about the changes there since Dorothy's last visit. Tik-Tok then drives away the Wheelers.
