This variant has "3RD PRINTING" listed at the bottom of the indicia. Apparently it came out much later than the first printing, with house ads in it copyrighted 1989 (and advertising issues 41 and 42 of this title), and a subscription ad that expires on "5/31/90".

The first and third printings have different house ads. Ads in the first printing are indexed. Third printing contains three house ads: Bugs Bunny, The DC Comics Deal of the Decade! (subscription ad, expires 5/31/90), and Superman of Tomorrow? (Superman #41-42, Adventures of Superman #464-465, and Action Comics #651-652); it also contains nine ad pages for Destination Earthstar (video game, Acclaim), The Apes of Wrath (drink, Capri Sun), The Ultimate Game Club (game club, 1/2 page), Great Eastern Conventions (conventions, 1/2 page), Warehouse Sale (comic back issues, American Entertainment, 2 pages), Mile High Comics (comic back issues, Mile High Comics), classified ads (no ad company listed), Fly with the Best! (video games, Tengen), and The Forgotten Realms Adventures (game rulebook, TSR).
