Synopsis

Rebelling against the stern control of her father, a widowed vicar, Kim seeks excitement among the back-street gangs. When she hears that her boyfriend is planning to be the driver for gang members planning a robbery, she tries to talk him out of it, but is forced to go with them instead. When caught, they are all sentenced to six months in jail. While Kim is in jail, her father goes to the south coast where he falls in love and re-marries. Wanting to give Kim a fresh start, but fearing prejudicing his new wife against her, he tells his wife Kim has been ill instead of in prison.
