Popular radio situation comedy from April 16, 1935 – October 2, 1959 and again as part of a weekend program, *Monitor*, from 1957 to 1959, portrayed by married acting team Jim Jordan and Marian Jordan. There were many recurring characters, including Throckmorton P. Gildersleeve (*The Great Gildersleeve*), who received his own program. There were four movies and a short lived television program.
