Doctor Fate

Also known as

When Kent Nelson donned the Helmet of Fate, he merged with Nabu, a Lord of Order, to form Doctor Fate. As Doctor Fate, Nabu's personality was usually the dominant one. At one point, Kent became so concerned about Nabu's control, that he abandoned the Helmet of Fate, and instead created a half helmet to hide his identity. He wore this helmet from the Summer of 1941 to at least April 1945. He eventually returned to the use of the full helmet, giving control back to Nabu.
