Synopsis
Having just come to London with a few shillings in her purse, Tessa is haggling with a street merchant when a man yells to her from a building window. He is a famous stage producer and wants her fire to play a small role in his next show. Although she is furious at him for his rudeness and arrogance, she could see that all the lovely things she had ever longed for were hers for the taking.
