Synopsis

On the anniversary of her mother's death, Dejah tells Carter the story of how another earth man named Gullivar Jones had long ago come into possession of a magic carpet which transported him to Barsoom. There Jones met Dejah's mother Heru shortly before she was captured by the Thither people.
