Synopsis
Myra convinces her fiance Jeff to take her to a fancy restaurant and gambling club. She meets Boyd, who considers her a good-luck charm. He eventually proposes marriage to her, and Myra accepts. However, Boyd’s killed in an auto accident before the wedding. Myra insists on investigating Boyd’s life story, but everyone she meets says Boyd was a bad boy who grew up to be a bad man, was a draft-dodger, and abandoned his wife Josephine. Boyd superstitiously thought Myra brought him good luck, and never cared about her. Myra apologises to Jeff and they reconcile.

The first panel in each of the 4 stories is a duplication from one later in the story and makes no sense without context. All 4 stories are told in flashback but the first panel isn't really relevant to this narrative structure.
