Synopsis

On a June day in 1852, Mary's father strikes gold in California. He uses the wealth to return to Scotland to exact revenge on the man who had evicted several clan families from their homes years ago. Many, including Mary's grandfather, had perished that winter before the few survivors found a ship bound for Canada in the spring.
