Synopsis
Corto agrees to work with the Red Lanterns. He and Rasputin sail with a junk towards Shanghai, but a fight starts on the ship. The junk gets on fire and Corto swims alone to the shore. Corto meets General Chang.
Notes
In Siberia is a single long Corto Maltese story, created by Hugo Pratt in the middle of the 1970s. The setting moves from China to Manchuria, Siberia, and Mongolia, during a period from November 1918 to April 1920 in the aftermath of the Russian Revolution and the First World War. Guido Fuga contributed with artwork of trains, airplanes and bridges.
Translated from Pratt's original Italian scripts.
The story is divided into six chapters: "The Red Lanterns", "The Prisoner of Chang", "The Romantic Duchess", "The Savage Division", "Ungern of Mongolia", and "The End of the Black Dragon".
First published in the monthly Italian magazine Linus from January 1974 to July 1977 with the title "Corte sconta detta Arcana". Published in French in the monthly magazine (À Suivre) from #1 February 1978 to #8 September 1978 as "Corto Maltese en Sibérie".
