Synopsis

Sally and Eve arrive in England from America for a three-month stay. When Sally meets David, they fall in love immediately and agree to be married. But when David takes Sally to meet his widower father, he immediately calls out "Mary!" and collapses in his chair. After some additional questions, he reveals that he had loved Sally's mother, Mary, years ago. On the eve of their wedding, Mary ran off with Stephen Glover and were never discovered. Further, Sally's father was suspected of embezzling fifteen thousand pounds from the local bank where he worked.
