My Own Romance

#12

June 1950 · 0.10 USD · 52 pages

Synopsis

Broadcaster Bill meets Cora at a party and they begin a romance. Cora likes the high life, and this begins to have a bad effect on Bill, physically and financially. They break up and he tries to return to his safe, everyday life and even dates other women, but realises the need to please Cora and provide for her was the motivation for his life and work. Bill and Cora marry and have two children, he’s successful in his career, and he’s “never known a moment’s regret.”

Notes

Three of the four stories in this issue are told from the man's point of view, which is unusual for a romance comic.
