Synopsis
Tired of living in poverty, Jean wants a rich husband. Don, the son of the man who owns the company where she works, falls for Jean and they get engaged. Her erstwhile boyfriend Bill tells Don that Jean’s a gold-digger, but the wedding goes ahead. Don’s father cuts him off and Don and Jean wind up living in the tenements anyway. Jean thinks about going back to Bill but realises she actually loves Don and they’ll face whatever the future brings, together.
