Synopsis

Carrie works as a hostess in Dirk’s gambling club but fends off his romantic advances. Instead, she and Dirk’s employee college student Stan fall in love, but Carrie refuses to leave her well-paid job. Stan breaks up with her, and when the police raid Dirk's casino, Carrie is publicly identified as his “girl.” Stan has graduated and left the country, but he writes and says when he returns to the USA, “perhaps” they will be reunited.
