Synopsis

Laura is “plain” in appearance and has no social life, spending her time helping in her father’s shoe-making shop. Frank has an interest in this process, and becomes friends with Laura. Laura’s friend Nancy says Frank is handsome and would be a better match for her. Frank tells Laura that he loves her, but she discovers he’s interested in applying her father’s work methods to mass production. She thinks he was just using her and they break up. However, Frank’s motives were honest, and he and Laura reunite.
