Synopsis
Sheltered 16-year-old Rose elopes with Lawrence, although she knows he’s a gambler. Lawrence becomes a U.S. consul in South America and continues his gambling. Rose has a child and after 3 years returns to her home in the USA. Bored, Rose moves to New York and leads a dissolute life, working as a model. A reformed Lawrence shows up, tells Rose he’s divorcing her and will take custody of their son. Rose asks Mr. Anthony for help. He reunites Rose with her family and they all return to their home in the South.
